This Privacy Policy describes how Jay Suh ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the Tnew application and the website at tnew.app (collectively, "the Service"), collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Service.
By using Tnew, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2.1 Information you provide
- Account information — when you sign up or sign in (email, display name, profile photo if provided).
- Submitted content — links you paste to share, summaries you type, country selection.
- Communications — when you contact us, file a report, or submit a DMCA notice.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device data — device model, operating system version, language, time zone, mobile network information.
- Usage data — pages viewed, taps, session duration, video plays, error logs.
- Approximate location — country derived from IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Identifiers — installation identifiers and, where applicable, advertising identifiers (subject to your platform consent settings).
2.3 Information from third parties
- Embedded content metadata — when posts link to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, or similar platforms, we fetch public metadata (title, channel name, thumbnail, published date) from those platforms' public APIs.
- Advertising and analytics partners — see Section 6.
3. How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Curate a daily feed of videos that are verifiably from the last 24 hours.
- Auto-delete content at the user's local midnight, as advertised.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, copyright infringement, and security incidents.
- Respond to user requests, reports, and legal demands.
- Show interest-based advertisements through third-party ad networks.
- Send essential service notifications (you may opt out of non-essential push notifications in your device settings).
4. Legal Bases (EU/EEA/UK users)
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- Contract — to provide the Service you request.
- Legitimate interest — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics, and personalized advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers — Google Firebase (hosting, database, authentication, analytics, cloud functions), Anthropic (AI summarization of public video titles), and similar processors who handle data under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Advertising and affiliate partners — Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Skimlinks. These partners may receive device identifiers and limited usage signals to serve and measure ads.
- Embedded platforms — when you open an external link, you leave Tnew and that platform's privacy policy applies.
- Legal compliance — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers — if Tnew is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred subject to this policy.
6. Advertising & Analytics
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
You can limit ad tracking through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → toggle on "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Posts on Tnew — auto-deleted at the uploader's local midnight (approximately 0–24 hours after posting). Backups may persist briefly for disaster recovery and are overwritten within 30 days.
- Account data — retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time at jaysuh2020@gmail.com.
- Logs & analytics — retained up to 14 months in aggregated form.
- Moderation records — reports, DMCA claims, and ban records may be retained for legal compliance purposes.
8. Your Rights
8.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

8.2 EU / EEA / UK (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children
Tnew is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has provided us with personal information may contact jaysuh2020@gmail.com.
10. International Data Transfers
Tnew is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures (TLS in transit, Firebase-managed encryption at rest, access controls) to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, announced in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
